The word SENTAI is a Japanese word that means task
force, action team, or
battle squad. The first Sentai show to come out of Japan was
the Himitsu Sentai GoRanger
[Secret Task Force Five Ranger] in 1975. Most sentai shows ranges between 48-54
episodes per year. A new sentai show comes out every year. It starts from mid
to late Februaury and ends sometime in February too.
The US first brought this show by the name of THE MIGHTY
MORPHIN' POWER RANGERS. The show they used was Kyoryuu
Sentai Zyuranger [Dinosaur Task Force Beast Ranger]. The Power
Rangers first started to air in the USA in 1993 after Zyuranger was completed.
